MATERIAL. The Russian Far East, Primorskiy Krai, western shore of the Khanka Lake, 10 km south of Turiy Rog , 19.VII.2006, signals of one male recorded at 28–30 °C .

SIGNALS. The male calling signal is a phrase lasting for 2.5–5 s ( Figs 1–2 View Figs 1–15 ). The phrase consists of uniform syllables; each syllable usually reaches the highest amplitude in the middle or in the end ( Figs 3–4 View Figs 1–15 ). Syllable repetition period averages 300–500 ms and gradually increases towards the end of the phrase. The pulse repetition period usually decreases sharply in the last third of a syllable.
