Shrub 5 m. Branchlets quadrangular with the edges alate and interpetiolar flaps, glabrous. Leaf blades oblong to elliptic-oblong, 3–5 nerved, glabrous on both surfaces. Flowers 5-merous.
Distribution in Peru:—Montane forests on eastern slopes, between 3050 and 3150 m.
