In the API 20NE system, positive for oxidase activity; but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose acidification, arginine dihydrolase, urease activity, esculin hydrolysis, gelatin hydrolysis, and β-galactosidase activity. D-Mannose, D-maltose, and malic acid are utilized as sole carbon sources; while D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-D-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid are not.
