Positive for nitrate reduction in API 20NE, but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase and β -galactosidase. D-glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate and malic acid are utilized. Does not utilize capric acid, adipic acid, trisodium citrate and phenylacetic acid. Strain IMCC12363 (= NIBRBA0000114859) was isolated from a seawater sample, Sokcho, Korea.
