Machadagrion dardanoi (Santos, 1968) comb. nov.

Etymology: dardanoi = named after Prof. Dr. Dardano de Andrade Lima (1919–1981) Brazilian botanist.

Material examined. (2 ♂♂, 2 ♀♀): 1 ♂ + 1 ♀ Brazil: Pernambuco, Recife, Parque Zoobotanico Dois Irmãos (mata), 18.xi.1965, N.D. Santos leg. (holotype #434 & allotype #432) ; 1 ♂ + 1 ♀ Brazil: Pernambuco, Recife, Parque Zoobotanico Dois Irmãos (mata), 18.xi.1965, N.D. Santos leg. (paratypes —ex-collection MNRJ #433 ) .

Distribution. Brazil (Pernambuco, Ceará).
