The name Siaphos dewittei Loveridge, 1934 is a replacement name for Lygosoma (Siaphos) MAP 203. Distribution of Leptosiaphos dewittei in compressicauda de Witte, 1933 , itself a junior Angola.
homonym of Lygosoma (Hinulia) compressicauda Werner, 1897 . The disjunct localities for this taxon suggest that further taxonomic work is required.
