Global distribution: NT.
Argentinian distribution: Jujuy, La Pampa.
Ecology: This species was found in permanent and temporary lakes. It was recorded in environments with electrical conductivity values ranging between 920 and 10500 μS/cm, alkaline waters (pH: 8.78–9.8) with low transparency (0.09 m) and total dissolved solid values ranging from 0.7 to 8.02 g /l.
