Originally included specimens: Described from fourteen males and four females.

Holotype in good condition.

Current identity: Sarcophaga (Leucomyia) alba ( Schiner, 1868) , as synonymized by Pape (1996).

Additional type specimens: Allotype ♀: Sichuan, Dukou, alt. 1200m, 17.IV.1986, Coll. by X.Z. Zhang. Paratypes 13♂♂, 3♀♀: Sichuan, Dukou, alt. 1200m, 17–19.IV.1986, Coll. by X.Z. Zhang. All specimens in NZMC.

Redescription of Male: Body length 5.5–8.3 mm ( Fig. 30 View FIGURE 30 A). Eye bare, yellowish red. Fronto-orbital plate, parafacial and postocular strip black with silvery pollinosity; parafacial bare, 2.5× as broad as fronto-orbital plate. Frontal vitta black with silvery pollinosity, 2.3× as broad as fronto-orbital plate in median part; frons at vertex 0.42× head width ( Fig. 30 View FIGURE 30 C); frontal row of 6 bristles; outer vertical bristle differentiated from postocular bristles, upper orbital bristle one. Ocellar bristles directed antero-laterlly. Gena ground color black with silvery pollinosity, with dense white bristles and silvery pollinosity, height 0.4× eye height in lateral view ( Fig. 30 View FIGURE 30 E), postgena with slender white bristles. Antennal pedicel yellow, first flagellomere grayish brown, not reaching the level of vibrissal insertion, 2.0× as long as pedicel ( Fig. 30 View FIGURE 30 C, E); arista micropubescent in basal half. Palpus yellow, expanded in distal part.

Thorax ground color black with silvery pollinosity. Chaetotaxy: acrostichals 0+1 (fine), dorsocentrals 2(3)+4, intra-alars 1(fine)+2, supra-alars 2, postalars 2, postpronotals 2, notopleurals 2, scutellum with 1 apical (fine), 1 subapical and 1 basal bristles. Pleuron with meropleurals 7; katepisternal bristles 1: 1, prosternum and postalar wall with bristles, proepisternum bare.

Wing hyaline ( Fig. 30 View FIGURE 30 A); subcostal sclerite and basicosta yellow, bare; tegula yellow; costal spine differentiated; vein R1 bare, three ventral bristles at node of R2+3-R4+5, vein R4+5 setose dorsally from junction of R2+3 halfway to crossvein r-m, lower calypter white.

Legs yellowish brown; fore femur with one row of dorsal bristles (about 8), one row of ventral bristles (about 7) and one row of posterodorsal bristles (about 10), fore tibia with three anterodorsal, one sub-median posterior and one posterodorsal bristles; mid femur with two median anterior, four anteroventral, one apical posterior and one apical posterodorsal bristles, one row of ventral bristles (about 8), mid tibia with two anterodorsal, one subapical ventral, one subapical posterior and three posterodorsal bristles; hind femur with one apical dorsal bristle, one row of anterodorsal bristles (about 7), one row of anteroventral bristles (about 7) and one row of posteroventral bristles (about 6), hind tibia with three anterodorsal, one sub-median anterior, one sub-median posterior and two posterodorsal bristles.

Abdomen long oval with silvery gray pollinosity; tergites 3 and 4 without median marginal bristles, tergite 5 with strong marginal bristles, epandrium yellowish brown ( Fig. 30 View FIGURE 30 F), sternites 1 and 2 both with dense and long bristles. Terminalia: Cercus yellow ( Fig. 30 View FIGURE 30 B).

Redescription of Female: Body length about 7.0mm ( Fig. 31 View FIGURE 31 A). Parafacial 1.8× as broad as fronto-orbital plate; frontal vitta about 1.9× as broad as fronto-orbital plate in median part ( Fig. 31 View FIGURE 31 C); one upper orbital and two proclinate orbital bristles. Mid femur with one row of anterodorsal bristles (about 7), without anterior bristle; hind tibia with three anteroventral bristles. Tergite 4 with one pair of median marginal bristles ( Fig. 31 View FIGURE 31 E). Other morphological characteristics are similar to those of the male.
