Leptocurtilla chopardi n. sp.

Diagnosis. Ovoid, prominent ocelli (118). Stridulating file with 40 teeth (121). Dorsal margin of the transversal sclerite triangular, not a cute. Latero-basal plate of ectophallus sub ovoid, not elongated (124–125).

Holotype. ♂. Colombia, Amazonas, Parque Natural Nacional (Natural National Park) Amacayacu. 2 October 2012. Rodriguez leg. (MUD).

Paratypes. 3♂. Same data as holotype.

Description. Mid-sized body, light brownish in color. Ovoid, elongated ocelli, moderately prominent (fig. 114). Sub-ovoid pronotum, not very elongated. Frontal prominence of the hind femora covering two thirds of the femora, wedge-shaped, but wider than the preceding species. Basal process of the fore femora lens shaped, moving dactyls moderately thickened and not very elongated, fixed dactyl triangle-shaped, lower fixed dactyl not acute (fig. 119). Tegminas covering the base of the third abdominal segment. Wing venation as in figure 120, stridulating file with 40 teeth (fig., 121). Wings surpassing both the length of the abdomen and the cerci. Phallic complex: Epiphallus: Transversal Sclerite triangular and with acute dorsal margin. Distal margin of the median prolongation wavy with two lateral prominences, not as prominent as in the preceding species. Ectophallus: Latero-basal plate ovoid and elongated, internal process finger-shaped and more reduced than in the preceding species (figs. 124– 125).

Etymology. Dedicated to the memory of Lucien Chopard, in acknowledgement of his numerous and valuable contributions to the order Orthoptera and related groups worldwide.

Measurements (mm). Tl: 23–25, P: 6–6.5, Teg: 7.5–8, Hf: 6.5–7, Ht: 4–4.5.
