Figs 3 View FIGURES 3 A–3C
Type material. Holotype male ( PSUNHM). Cambodia: Siem Reap Province, Siem Reap River , 13°24’09”N, 103°52’48”E, ca. 22 m a.s.l., 6.v.2019, leg. Pongsak Laudee. GoogleMaps
Paratypes. Same data as holotype, 1 male ( CHM) GoogleMaps .
Etymology. The species is named for the type locality, Angkor Wat Temple.
Description. Length of each male forewing 5.0 mm (n = 2); specimens in alcohol with head, thorax, abdomen, legs, forewings dark brown.
Male genitalia ( Figs 3 View FIGURES 3 A–3C). Segment IX in dorsal view with shallow triangular incision anteriorly ( Fig. 3A View FIGURES 3 ); torpedo-like with basodorsal projection curved posterad in lateral view ( Fig. 3B View FIGURES 3 ); each side canine tooth-like and its sclerotized parts separated by wide membranous area in ventral view ( Fig. 3C View FIGURES 3 ). Preanal appendages needle-like spines longer than tergum X processes and inferior appendages, each trifurcate apically in dorsal ( Fig. 3A View FIGURES 3 ) and ventral views. Segment X represented by pair of long spines overlapping subapically, sharp apically in dorsal view; in lateral view, oval basally, long and slender subapically, sharp and slightly downcurved apically. In lateral view, inferior appendages claw-like; basodorsal process of each inferior appendage thumb-like and about 1/3 as long as main body of inferior appendage; main body of each inferior appendage long, triangular with teeth dorsally, especially prominent below apex of basodorsal process; in ventral view, inferior appendages fused basally, long, slender with short setae. Phallus tubular with needle-like dorsal branch in lateral view.
Diagnosis. The male genitalia of the new species are very similar to those of L. colophallus Yang and Morse 1997 (in Vshivkova et al. 1997) found in China and Vietnam, but can be distinguished from them by the characters of segment X. In L. colophallus , the two long slender processes of segment X are asymmetrical, but symmetrical in the new species. In addition, L. colophallus lacks the long needled-like preanal appendages.
