20. Lepraria yunnaniana (Hue) Zahlbr.

Thallus leprose, grey whitish, cottony; hypothallus black, thick; with powdery soredia; margin delimited; lobes absent, rarely indistinct; medulla rarely present, white; hypothallus exposed between soredia; soredia scattered, fine, 30–70 μm diam.; projecting hyphae small, rarely present; consoredia often present, 75–125 μm.

Chemistry: Divaricatic acid and nordivaricatic acid (trace). K−, C− or + pinkish, KC+pink, Pd−.

Ecology and Distribution: The species found growing over bark and mosses; and commonly found in South America, China, Africa, Australia. In India Singh & Sinha (2010), reported this species from Tamilnadu and Uttarakhand.

Upreti et al. (2003), reported earlier this species as L. nigrocincta from Tamilnadu and Uttarakhand.
