Distribution. Cryptogenic. Neotropical; Galápagos: San Cristóbal, Santa Cruz.

Remarks. This record was initially based on a single female specimen and was tentatively identified as L. inaequalis ( Marshall et al. 2007) . Recent rearing studies have produced additional specimens and the initial identification of this species has been confirmed. This species was reared from mud collected fresh from a tortoise wallow in the agricultural zone (Reserva Pájaro Brujo) on Santa Cruz (Lehnen et al. unpubl.).
