Diagnosis. This species differs from the closely related L. buccinators by a shorter first metasomal tergite, strongly impressed occiput ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 37 – 41 ) and body with dense white hairs ( Figs 37–41 View FIGURES 37 – 41 ).
Description. Body length 8 mm. Body pubescent with dense white hairs. Antenna with 38 flagellomeres. Scape 0.6 × as long as wide. Head not narrowed behind eyes, swollen, matt, with fine deep punctures ( Figs 37, 40 View FIGURES 37 – 41 ). Occiput strongly impressed ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 37 – 41 ). Maximum length of temple 1.18 × transverse eye diameter; minimum length of temple 0.67 × transverse eye diameter. Face 1.3 × height of eye; convex, medially bulging, with fine deep punctures ( Fig. 37 View FIGURES 37 – 41 ). Clypeus separated from face by impression. Clypeal foveae small. Malar space 0.28 × of basal mandible width. Occipital carina complete, not interrupted above ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 37 – 41 ). Lower mandible tooth longer than upper.
Notaulus absent. Mesopleuron, mesonotum with fine deep punctures, matt ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 37 – 41 ). Claws pecinate. Fore wing with large areolet, oblique ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 37 – 41 ). Radius intercepting stigma at its middle. Second recurrent vein intercepted areolet at its middle; with a single bulla. Nervellus intercepted at middle. Nervulus interstitial. Propodeal carinae complete ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 37 – 41 ).
Metasoma matt, with dense white hairs ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 37 – 41 ). First metasomal tergite 0.66 × as long as apically wide; without median longitudinal impression; bordered by lateral longitudinal carinae; median longitudinal carinae absent. Metasomal tergites with fine punctures. Ovipositor stout.
Color. Body mostly black. Coxae black. Metasomal tergites from third and hind part of second tergite reddish ( Fig. 39 View FIGURES 37 – 41 ).
Material: Holotype, female, Russia, Jewish Autonomous Oblast, Londoko, 02.viii.1981, D.R. Kasparyan, ( ZIN).
Distribution: Far East of Russia.
Etymology: The species epithet, pubescens , refers to the hairs on body.
