Dorsum. Dorsal shield 321(312–332) [312] long and 180(176–184) [184] wide, ornamented with roundish elements. Setae j1 19(16–21) [20], j3 19(18–20) [19], j4 15(14–15) [15], j5 13(12–15) [14], j6 17(17–18) [18], J2 20(19–21) [20], J5 10(9–11) [11], z2 16(15–18) [17], z3 21(20–24) [24], z4 21(20–22) [22], z5 15(13–17) [15], z6 18(16–21) [19], Z4 34(33–38) [34], Z5 50(48–52) [48], s4 23 (23–24) [24], s6 26 (24–27) [26], S2 28 (27–29) [28], S4 29 (28–30) [28], S5 24 (21–27) [21], r3 21(18–24) [22], R1 20(18–23) [21]. Setae setiform, smooth, sharp-tipped, except Z4 and Z5, serrate and knobbed; seta R1 inserted on membrane.
Venter. Sternal shield smooth, with 2 pairs of setae (ST3 inserted on membrane); posterior margin slightly concave; distances between ST1-ST3 57(56–58) [56], ST2-ST2 51(50–52) [50]. Genital shield smooth; distance between ST5-ST5 52(50–53) [52]. Ventrianal shield smooth, pentagonal, anterior margin convex, 112(110–115) [112] long, 81(72–85) [72] wide at level of ZV2 and 71(67–73) [70] wide at level of anus; setae JV2 and JV3 present; round preanal pores mesad of and slightly posterior to JV2. Caudoventral setae smooth and sharp-tipped, except JV5, knobbed.
Chelicera. Movable digit 27(26–28) [28] long, with 3 teeth; fixed digit 23(22–24) [24] long, with 6 teeth and a pilus dentilis, proximal 2 teeth closely associated.
Spermatheca. Calyx funnel-shaped, with proximal half portion much narrower than distal portion, 23(21– 24) [21] long; atrium kidney-shaped.
Legs. Knobbed St IV 26 (24–27) [25]. Chaetotaxy: genu II: 2-2/0, 2/0-1; genu III: 1-2/1, 2/0-1.
Specimens examined. South Africa: Holotype and 3 paratype females from Lippia wilmsii, Blyde River Poort, Mpumalanga Province, 22-II-1978, E.A. Ueckermann; one paratype female from Pearsonia cajanifolia subsp. cryptantha, Blyde River Poort, Mpumalanga Province, 22-II-1978, M.K.P. Smith Meyer; all deposited at NCA-PPRI.
Remarks. Some of the setae on genu and tibia of leg IV may bear minute knobs. Those setae were mentioned in the original description as macrosetae. Reexamination of the type specimens (by E. Ueckermann) led to the conclusion that they should not be considered macrosetae, except for one specimen which had a distinct knobbed macroseta on genu.
World distribution. South Africa.
