TYPE SPECIMEN: National Museum of Kenya NMK LT 127, a nearly complete but somewhat crushed, shell, figured in Wood (1983: figs. 1–5).

TYPE LOCALITY: Lothagam Hill, southwest Turkana District, Kenya ( Wood, 1983).

HORIZON: Lothagam 1, Pliocene ( Wood, 1983: 79).
