This species is probably allied to I. ater , but is distinguishable by the male genital characters: aedeagal shaft bearing angulate extensions dorso-basally and smooth latero-vetral sides, and having ventral process curved at apical ⅓. Body length: ♂ ♀ 4.6–4.7 mm ( Dworakowska, 1993b).

Material examined. 1♂, Pi Lu Chieh (alt. 2,400 m), Nantou Co., Taiwan, 6. IX. 1986, K. Baba leg. ( ELKU) .

Distribution. Taiwan (Nantou County).
