* H. litoralis ( Linnaniemi, 1909)
– Achorutes purpurescens var. litoralis Linnaniemi, 1909: 16
AK Skidmore 1995; Babenko & Fjellberg 2006, cf.
NS Christiansen & Bellinger 1980, 1998; Skidmore 1995
Remarks: Nearctic records of this species need confirmation. Northern European populations of H. litoralis differ from partly sympatric H. concolor in having additional setae on the fifth abdominal segment ( Fjellberg 1998), whereas the specimens from NS described by Christiansen & Bellinger (1980) are characterized by the usual chaetotaxy of this tergum (see Christiansen & Bellinger 1980, Fig. 85 A, p. 124).
General distribution: Europe and Nearctic (?).
