HOLOTYPE: AMNH 723691, adult male, collected at Kisumu, 00.06S, 34.45E ( Polhill, 1988), Kenya, on 10 May 1918. From the V.G.L. van Someren Collection via the Rothschild Collection.
COMMENTS: In the original description, van Someren noted that his type with the above data was in the Rothschild Collection and, without enumerating his specimens, recorded that the form occurred in Kisumu, Kano district, Kendu Bay, Simba, and Kitui. The following paratypes came to AMNH from the Rothschild Collection: Kenya, Simba, AMNH 723685–723690, two males, four females, 23–28 January 1919, 11 October 1917; Kisumu, AMNH 723692, immature male, 6 July 1912, AMNH 723693, immature male, 11 December 1917, AMNH 723694, female, 6 May 1917, AMNH 723695, female, 26 August 1916; Uganda, Kano, AMNH 723697, male, 19 June 1912. There are three paratypes in RMCA ( Louette et al., 2002: 76).
