Hyla eucnemis Lönnberg, 1900 .

Two syntypes: BM 1947.2.23.87, according to Condit (1964), ZIUU (no number). Type locality: Sattelberg, Huon Peninsula, Papua New Guinea .

A larger species (males> 40 mm, females to at least 67 mm) with extremely pronounced dermal fringes on limbs and a large, triangular lappet on the heel. The advertisement call is a series of growls quite unlike the ticking sound produced by L. genimaculata ( Zweifel, 1980; Figure 4A View FIGURE 4 ).
