Description. Total length: 6.3–11.5 mm. Width across humeral calli: 0.9–1.6 mm. Body red-brown with or without darker area on elytra. Habitus of types: Figs 13–16 View FIGURES 12 – 16 .

Head ( Fig. 72 View FIGURES 72 – 78 ) broader than long, smooth. Vertex and frons not grooved. Meta- and mesorostrum grooved, without fovea. Prorostrum 0.30–0.45 as long as head + metarostrum + mesorostrum. Antennomere 3 conical, weakly lengthened; 4–8 almost cylindrical, broader than long; 11th 1.50–1.90 longer than 10th. Venter of head very weakly grooved.

Pronotum shiny, smooth. Prosternellum hardly distinct. Underside of first protarsal segment denticulate ( Fig. 76 View FIGURES 72 – 78 ). Metasternum convex, smooth. Base of elytra straight, interstria 1, 3, 4 and 5 slightly protruding forward. Interstria 3 abruptly stopped before apical declivity but not forming a sharp tooth ( Fig. 73 View FIGURES 72 – 78 ); interstria 5, 6 and 7 connected forward to form a common humeral interstria. External border of apical "forceps" with a small tooth at base ( Fig. 73 View FIGURES 72 – 78 , arrow). Inner side with a long median tooth in the female ( Fig. 73 View FIGURES 72 – 78 ), and without median tooth in male ( Fig. 74 View FIGURES 72 – 78 ).

Sternites III–IV of abdomen ( Fig. 75 View FIGURES 72 – 78 ) not or very weakly depressed, with a very light median groove, laterally carinate. Tergite VII of female with long hair (as on Fig. 88 View FIGURES 83 – 90 ). Gonopods IX: Fig. 77 View FIGURES 72 – 78 . Spermatheca: Fig. 78 View FIGURES 72 – 78 .

Remarks. Westward, this species reaches the Moluccas ( Sforzi & Bartolozzi, 2004) but I could not examine specimens from these islands. One specimen in BMNH is labelled "Perak, Doherty" ( Malaysia), but this is very probably an erroneous datum. It is not listed in the "Material examined". Distribution map: Fig. 98.
