[ Holotype: CASC; ♂ Riverside , California, USA; April 3, 1938]

Hoplitis nanula View in CoL specializes on pollen from Cryptantha Lehm. ex G. Don View in CoL ( Boraginaceae View in CoL ) ( Fowler 2020). This species has been previously reported in the Central Desert in BC by SDNHM and BBSL ( GBIF 2023). The BBPT collected one female in Sierra Juarez in May 2022 (MABC). See fig. 253.
