Lauxania forcipata Kertész, 1913: 100 View in CoL . Type locality: Takao, Formosa ( China: Taiwan). Sasakawa, 1992: 174; Sasakawa, 2001: 81; Sasakawa, 2009: 39.
Diagnosis. Arista plumose. Palpus entirely yellow. Mesonotum with acr in 8 rows. Abdominal tergite 5 with a pair of brown spots; epandrium forcipiform in lateral view.
Type material. Holotype 3 ( HNHM), CHINA: Formosa ( Taiwan): Takao (Kaohsiung), 13. VI. 1907, H. Sauter [22°38ʹN 120°16ʹE].
Distribution. China ( Taiwan), Malaysia, Micronesia, Vietnam.
