( Plate 2. 6 a-c)
Hoeglundina lucidiformis McCulloch, 1981, p. 183 View in CoL , pl. 57, fig. 9.
Material examined. Korea, Yellow Sea , station 31205 (34°2 ʹ 38.52 ʺ N, 125°29 ʹ 52.5 ʺ E), 11 Apr 2015, by Van Veen Grab, collected by Sangjin Kim. NIBR ID: NIBRPR0000107221 GoogleMaps .
Diagnosis. Test trochospiral, biconvex. Umbilical side more convex than spiral side. Suture radial, not depressed, but curved backward on spiral side. Wall calcareous, perforated, surface smooth. Aperture a long slit-like opening along peripheral margin on umbilical side.
Remarks. Hoeglundina lucidiformis was first reported from the Atlantic Ocean by McCulloch (1981). According to the original description, this species is similar to Hoeglundina mesolucida McCulloch, 1981 but H. lucidiformis is more compressed, with a more translucent test without elaborate patterns on the surface like H. elegans (d’Orbigny, 1826) , or H. mesolucida McCulloch, 1981 . Also, the sutures on the spiral (evolute) side of H. lucidiformis are more curved backward.
Distribution. Korea, Atlantic Ocean.
