Length. Female: 5.9mm.
Color. Generally sordid ochraceous ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ). Vertex with two oblique pale brown stripes on either side of anterior half, two orange-red stripes start from the margin in front of eyes, cross pronotum and basal angles of mesonotum and scutellum ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A). Color of face, see Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C. Forewing with brown hue ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A–B).
Body. Vertex as long as 3– 4x width between eyes, broadly spatulate in outline, obtuse-angulate at apex, lateral areas gently depressed, basal two-thirds shagreened, apical one-third longitudinally wrinkled ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A). Ocellus a little farther from border of vertex than from eye ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 B). Eye relatively small ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A). Anteclypeus tapering to apex, not extending beyond normal curve of genae ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 C). Pronotum nearly as long as 0.4x median length of crown. Mesonotum and scutellum shorter than pronotum ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A). Forewing macropterous, female usually exposing apex of abdomen, outer anteapical cell length about as long as 0.66x central anteapical cell length, central anteapical cell length nearly as long as 7x width ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 A–B).
Male. Pygofer side with group of short setae near the tooth ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 A). Valve long, triangular ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 C). Subgenital plate triangular, strongly convex laterally, macrosetae uniseriate laterally ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 B). Style preapical angle indistinct, apophysis developed ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 D). Connective Y-shaped, stem shorter than anterior arms, stem curved ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 E). Aedeagal shaft long, somewhat straight ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 F–G).
Female. Hind margin of seventh sternum shallowly concave.
Material examined. China, Hainan Prov.: 1Ƌ, Mt. Bawang , 27 August 1983, coll. Y. W. Djau (SYU) ; Shaanxi Prov.: 1♀, Ankang City , 2 July 1980, coll. Ma Ning .
Distribution. Philippines; China (Guizhou, Hainan, Shaanxi).
Remarks. This species was described from an unknown number of specimens (female, syntypes) from the Philippines . The specimens recorded here from China are identified based on a comparison with the original description.
