Global distribution: AT, NT, PA.
Argentinian distribution: Jujuy, Mendoza.
Ecology: This species has been found in fresh to sub-saline waters. The environments were characterized by temperature values ranging from 19.8 to 29.5 °C, with alkaline waters (pH: 8.4 - 9.2), salinity ranging between 0.2–1.4 g /l and dissolved oxygen values ranging between 19 and 84% in lentic environments and from 100 to 108% in lotic environments.
