Haematopota abyssinica View in CoL is mainly Afrotropical species, recorded from Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Congo ( Oldroyd 1952). It was sampled from wooded savannahs and forests ( Crosskey & Crosskey 1955). In the Arab countries of the Middle East, the species was recorded from Saudi Arabia ( Amoudi 1989).
