Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 15 ). Wingspan 32–35 mm. The species was characterised and illustrated in colour by Kononenko (2001) and by Gyulai et al. (2013). Male genitalia ( Fig. 22 View FIGURES 16 – 23 ). The main characteristic feature of A. atrovirens is the structure of vesica with short diverticula bearing knife-like cornutus on dorsal diverticulum and two tiny spines on medial diverticulum. Female genitalia ( Fig. 36 View FIGURES 36 – 44 ). Female differs by relatively large ovipositor, shallow slightly sclerotised antrum with microsetae inside and short, slightly sclerotised and ribbed ductus bursae with short sclerotised fold inside.
