Specimen examined:— KACHIN. Myitkyina District : 1830−2135 m, 1914, Kingdon-Ward 1668 ( E) .
Distribution:— Northern Myanmar (?), Thailand, Vietnam and southwestern and central China.
Notes:— The above-cited specimen was here identified as close to or conspecific with this species, based on narrow petals (5 mm), short spurs (about 18 mm) and wide anther connective (20 mm). This species was also reported from Chin State and Mandalay Region by Tanaka et al. (2011: 164), but their photograph appears to show a specimen of H. yuana .

Distribution:— Endemic.
Note:— The description indicates this is likely a synonym of H. mandersii .
