Material examined. India: Tamil Nadu, Nilghiri, Nilghiri, Coonoor , (11°21'N, 76°49'E), 1.i.–31.xii.1902, leg. M. Maindron— 1 male (holotype) (Paris MNHN) GoogleMaps .

Diagnosis. Wings little surpassing hind knees and abdomen. Tegmen with media anterior free from base; cubitus anterior divides behind basal third, the anterior branch receives an oblique branch from MA and shortly after divides into MP and CuA1. Male ninth abdominal tergite globular, at hind margin with a short triangular but obtuse projection. From below ninth abdominal tergite, probably from tenth tergite, with soft, light projections that terminate into sclerotised black upcurved teeth ( Figs. 70K, M View FIGURE 70 ). Male subgenital plate with convex lateral margins, apical margin slightly concave in middle; styli rather short and little curved ( Fig. 70L View FIGURE 70 ).

Measurements after Griffini (1913a) (2 males).—body w/o wings: 16.0–17.7; pronotum: 4.6–4.8; tegmen: 16.6–17.3; hind femur: male 11.0– 11.5 mm.
