Geographic Location: MB: Winnipeg ( Marshall & Reeves 1970); ON: Sudbury (St. John et al. 2002); QC: Morgan Arboretum ( Marshall 1968, as Heterochthonius n.sp.); NS: Cape Breton Highlands NP (Behan- Pelletier 2010; Behan-Pelletier et al. 1987); NL: between Corner Brook and Little Grand Lake ( Dwyer et al. 1997, 1998).

Habitats: peat under Black spruce, Balsam fir, hemlock litter; mixed deciduous coniferous forest.

Distribution: Nearctic.
