Diagnosis. It differs from G. andina n. sp., and G. risaraldensis n. sp., in the head pattern, wing venation, in the apex of the aedeagal arch, in the endophallic sclerites, and mainly in that the external parameres are long, slender, curved inward and distally acuminate (compare Figs 1-2 View FIGURES 1‒6 , 19-20 View FIGURES 19‒24 and 40-41 View FIGURES 40‒45 , Figs 3 View FIGURES 1‒6 , 21 View FIGURES 19‒24 and 42 View FIGURES 40‒45 , and Figs 6 View FIGURES 1‒6 , 24 View FIGURES 19‒24 and 45 View FIGURES 40‒45 in this paper).
Color (in 80% ethanol). Body brown with light spots. Head ( Fig. 42 View FIGURES 40‒45 ): vertex dark brown, cream laterally on boundaries with the inner margin of the compound eyes; forehead brown, with dark brown transverse bands. Compound eyes dark brown to black; ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents, postclypeus brown, with ochre striae converging mesally, as illustrated; genae cream, with dark brown spots at midline, postgenae and subgenae cream; labrum light brown, with dark brown labral sclerites, anteclypeus brown. Maxillary palps light brown to cream, Mx 1-2 cream, Mx 3-4 brown.Antennae: scape and pedicel light brown, flagellomeres brown. Thorax brown to cream, pronotum light brown, tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax brown, pleura cream. Legs brown to cream, trochanters, femora and tibiae cream, tarsi light brown. Wings hyaline, veins light brown; forewings ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 40‒45 ) amber, with abundant brown setae. Abdomen brown, sternum light brown to cream. Clunium, hypandrium, epiproct and paraprocts light brown. Phallosome brown, with aedeagal arch and endophallic sclerites dark brown, external parameres brown.
Morphology. Head: H/MxW: 1.62; compound eyes small, H/d: 3.84; IO/MxW: 0.64. Outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with eight denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.10. Labrum elongate, lower margin with a pair of rounded projections. Forewings ( Fig. 40 View FIGURES 40‒45 ): FW/W: 2.79; pterostigma elongate, wider in the middle: lp/wp: 5.53; Rs 2-3 branched; M five to six branched. Areola postica elongate: al/ah: 4.89, open in some specimens. Hindwings ( Fig. 41 View FIGURES 40‒45 ): HW/w: 3.21. Rs 2-branched, M simple or 2-branched. Legs: trochanters with two long setae on dorsal surface; fore- tarsi without ctenidiobothria, mid- and hind- tarsi with ctenidiobothria. Hypandrium ( Fig. 44 View FIGURES 40‒45 ), broad, setose, posterior border concave in the middle. Phallosome ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 40‒45 ), almost straight anteriorly, side struts slender, straight; aedeagal arch robust, apex with two short mesal projections, distally acuminate, curved outward; endophallic sclerites ( Fig. 45 View FIGURES 40‒45 ) long, slender. Clunium projected over the area of the epiproct. Paraprocts broad ( Fig. 43 View FIGURES 40‒45 ), oval, with setae and macrosetae on posterior border, sensory fields large, elliptic, with 25-28 trichobothria in basal rosettes. Epiproct broadly trapeziform ( Fig. 43 View FIGURES 40‒45 ), with three setae mesally, other setae as illustrated.
