Basionym:— Rhamnus protocrenata Suzuki (1960: 322) .
Type:— IGF 5218 (Fukushima University, Fukushima, Japan) – figured by Suzuki (1960: pl. 33, fig. 8).
Geography:—Az-29 locality, road-cutting about 300 m northwest of Fujitoge, Yanaizu-machi, Kawanuma-gun, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan.
Stratigraphy:—Upper Miocene (Fujitoge Formation).
Status:—Leaves.

Note:—The fossil-species is compared with extant Frangula crenata .
