28. Fissurina bispinata Ujiié, 1963 View in CoL ( Plate 6. 2 a-c)

Fissurina bispinata Ujiié, 1963, p. 30 View in CoL , pl. 1, figs. 9-11 (cited from Debenay, 2013); Debenay, 2013, pp. 145, 292.

Material examined. Korea, East Sea , 21 May 2016, station E8 (37°23 ʹ 55.665 ʺ N, 129°14 ʹ 57.671 ʺ E), Van Veen Grab, by Raehyuk Jeong and Jisu Yeom. NIBR ID: NIBRPR0000107247 GoogleMaps .

Diagnosis. Test small, ovate in outline, with very slight peripheral keel. Basal end mucronate with two very short spines. Wall calcareous, hyaline, surface smooth, and nearly translucent to opaque. Aperture terminal, produced and slit-like.

Remark. This species was originally classified as a sub- species of F. cucurbitasema , but later was separated into an independent species. Fissurina bispinata differs from F. cucurbitasema in having two basal spines. Our specimen looks similar to the specimens reported from New Caledonia and Japan ( Ellis & Messina, 1940; Debenay, 2013), but has a slightly more elongated test.

Distribution. Korea, China, Japan, New Caledonia, Sahul Shelf.
