( Figs 5, 6 View Figures 1–8 , 21, 22 View Figures 19–22 , 33 View Figures 31–34 )

Systropha xanthocraspis : Daniel (1954): 128.

Type material. Holotype ( Figs 5 View Figures 1–8 , 21 View Figures 19–22 ): male, red label [ China, SW Shaanxi Province, Qinling Mts, Taibai Mt. ] “Tapaishan im Tsinling | Sued-Shensi. Ca. 3000m. | 15.6.1936. H. Höne. ” / “Sammlung | Daniel” / “Slide | ZSM Arct. | 2019-1130 ♂ | A. Volynkin ” ( MWM / ZSM).

Paratypes: CHINA: 1 male, 1 female, the same locality and collector as the holotype but 15. VI .1936 (male) and 16. VI.1936 (female), gen. prep. No.: ZSM Arct. 2019-1131 ♀ ( MWM / ZSM) ; 99 specimens of both sexes, the same locality and collector as the holotype but 3000 and 1700m, 8. VI .– 23.VII.1936 ( ZFMK) ; 1 male, Li-kiang [Lijiang], North Yunnan Province, 28.VIII.1934, H. Höne [leg.] / Sammlung Daniel, gen. prep. No.: ZSM Arct. 2019-1129 ♂ ( MWM / ZSM) .

Remark. The male genitalia of the specimen from Yunnan illustrated by Daniel (1954: figs 89a and 89b) as ‘ Systropha xanthocraspis ’ belong to F. lucida whereas the phallus illustrated in the same publication ( Daniel 1954: fig. 89c) belongs to F. confusa sp. n.

Diagnosis. The forewing length is 14.0–15.0 mm in males and 17.0 mm in females. Fangeilema confusa sp. n. is externally reminiscent of species of the subgenus Paraxenittia subgen. n. of the genus Kuatunittia gen. n., but can be distinguished in the somewhat smaller size and the paler forewing ground colour. The comparison of the male and female genitalia of the species from species of Fangeilema gen. n. s. str. is provided above in the diagnosis of the subgenus Paraxenittia subgen. n.

Distribution. China (Shaanxi and Yunnan Provinces) ( Daniel 1954, as Systropha xanthocraspis , partim.).

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to the confusion of the new species with Dolgoma xanthocraspis ( Daniel 1954) .
