Monotypic genus known from Mexican states of Veracruz and San Luis Potosí to Central America . Tomaszewska (2000) provided a detailed description (as Adamia ).

Type locality: Guatemala: San Juan in Verapaz.
Type material: lectotype in BMNH.
Distribution: México: SLP, VER; Guatemala, Honduras. Tomaszewska (2005) described the larva of this species and recognized Evolocera as a senior synonym of
Adamia .
