Evinus peri Anufriev View in CoL , new record (Figs 6A–O)

Evinus peri Anufriev 1994: 116 –119

Description. Length (including forewing). Male: 3.9 mm.

Brownish. Head and thorax marked with dark irregular markings symmetrically placed on crown, anteriorly and medially on pronotum. Gena and lorum light brownish without markings except a pair of small brownish spots bellow eye. Mesonotum with both ends of the suture bent upward and a dark markings posterad of scutellar suture. Forewings smoky brown, with some transverse veins white and without markings.

Anteclypeus distinctly tapered from base to apex, slightly more than twice as long as basal width, apex concave; clypeal suture weakly arcuate.

Male abdomen. 2T apodeme with submedial lobes very short and rounded laterally; 1S apodeme with submedial lobes straight, greatly elongated, ca. 4.0 times longer than wide, lateral extension bifurcate, branches subequal in length, dorsal branch slender and lateral branch broad; 2S apodeme with submedial lobes short, slender and strongly curved mesad.

FIGURE 5. Evinus obscurus sp. nov. A, Male, dorsal view; B, head, dorso-anterior view; C, face; D, male, lateral view; E, male pygofer, lateral view; F–G, connective and aedeagus, lateral and ventral view; H–I, 2nd abdominal tergite, dorsal and anterior view; J–K, male 1st sternal apodeme, dorso-anterior and anterior view; L–M, male 2nd sternal apodeme, dorsal and anterior view; N–O, male pygofer, caudal and ventral view.

Male genitalia. Pygofer lateral lobe relatively short, ventral margin strongly concave, posterior margin rounded. Subgenital plate with lateral lobe triangular, not reaching dorsal margin of pygofer lobe. Connective Yshaped, branches longer than stem and weakly divergent. Aedeagus with shaft abruptly narrowed and bent dorsad near midlength and strongly curved anterodorsad near apex in lateral view, lateral margins convex near base and parallel-sided near apex in posterior view, constricted near base in ventral view.

Material examined. 1 male, China, Guangxi Prov., Mt. Dayaoshan, 7.ix.2000, Coll. Liu Zhenjiang (NWAFU).

Remarks. This species is similar to E. macrospinus in coloration, but differs as follows: subgenital plate lateral lobe short, not extended to dorsal margin of pygofer lobe; 1S apodemes with submedial lobes greatly elongated; aedeagus with shaft beyond atrium straight through most of length in lateral view and abruptly curved apically. This is the first record of E. peri from China.
