Subgenus Chorizagrotis Smith, 1890: 10 , 98
Type species: Agrotis auxiliaris Grote, 1873: 96 , by original designation.
= Mesoeuxoa Corti, in Seitz, 1932: 38 (TS: Phalaena lidia Stoll , in Cramer, [1782]: 222). Mesoeuxoa Corti is not strictly nomenclaturally available under Article 13 (6) as it was published after 1930 and had no definite fixation of a type species. It is currently accepted as a junior subjective synonym of Chorizagrotis Smith, 1890 .
