Female. H: length of body (excluding gnathosoma) 517, width 333. Dorsum. Dorsal shields covered with circular dimples and bearing 10–25 pores; prodorsal shield with four pairs of setae and one pair of eyes located between setae ve and sci; ophisthonotal shield with six pairs of setae, suranal shield tucked under body with two pairs of setae; dorsal body setae ensiform. Venter. c very short and placed on triangular, dimpled humeral shields; humeral 2
regions with major callosities, punctuated, no minor callosities; endopodal shields completely separated and bearing 1a, 3a, setae 4a absent; paragenital shield without dimples, with one pair of setae; three pairs of setae on anogenital covers, subequal. Legs. Leg I 293, leg II 240, leg III 250, leg IV 283. Number of setae (solenidia in parentheses) on leg segments as follows: tarsi 12(v)-10(v)-7(v)-7(v); tibiae 7(Q, Qr)-6(Qr)-6(Qr)-6(Qr); genua 4(k)-4(k)-1-1; femora 6-5-3-2; trochantera 1-1-2-1; coxae 2-2-2-2. Tarsus IV with solenidion v.
Male. Unknown.
Type materials. Holotype female and six paratype females collected from moss at Kırık village , Erzurum, Turkey, 30 October 1999.
Etymology. This new species is named for Durmuş Ali BAL of Ataturk University, Turkey, our colleague.
The new species differs from its congeners by virtue of its ensiform dorsal setae and one pair of setae on paragenital shield.
