5. Eurya obtusifolia Hung T. Chang (1954: 34) View in CoL .
Type:— CHINA. Sichuan: Emei Shan, without precise locality, 1952, Ji-Hua Xiong, Xiu-Shi Zhang & Xing-Lin Jiang 33016 (lectotype IBSC-0003668!, here designated; isolectotypes NAS-00071851!, PE-00024445). Remaining syntype:— CHINA. Sichuan: Emei Shan, Qingyin’ge , March 1942, Wen-Pei Fang 18200 B ( IBSC herb. #162676!) .
Two gatherings, Ji-Hua Xiong, Xiu-Shi Zhang & Xing-Lin Jiang 33016 and Wen-Pei Fang 18200 B, were designated as male and female “type” in Chinese, respectively, in the protologue ( Chang 1954). Although four sheets of Xiong et al. 33016 were found in three different hebaria, only the one we designated as the lectotype has the flower material dissected presumably by the original author. This species was originally described from Sichuan and it occurs in Guizhou, W Hubei, NW Hunan, S Shaanxi, Sichuan, NE Yunnan ( Ming & Bartholomew 2007).
