T y p e m a t e r i a l: Holotype: ♁. Type locality: Ecuador, Napo, Archidona , XII-1986, R.Cordero ( WOPC) . Paratype: 1 specimen. COLOMBIA: Departamento de Bolivar ; SFF Los Colorados, Villa Roca, 9°54'N 75°7'W, 180 m, 7-22-V-2001, Malaise, M. 1722, E. Deulufeut ( WOPC, 1) GoogleMaps .
D i a g n o s i s: Cranium and pronotum black; base of legs and pterothorax red; basal of elytra red, with prominent white fascia, and with patch of white setae at apex, remainder of elytra black.
D e s c r i p t i o n: Size: Length 6.0 mm; width 1.2 mm. Form: As in Fig. 41 View Figs 41-44 . Head: (EW/FW 20/50). Thorax: Elytral disc partially roughly sculptured; (PL/PW 180/180); (EL/EW 260/40). Abdomen: Aedeagus (Fig. 93).
E t y m o l o g y: The species name, napo, constitutes a noun in apposition and refers to the type locality.
