Facultatively epiphytic herbs. Distribution in PILA 2400– 3100 m, low elevation oak forest, high elevation oak forest, páramo. Global distribution: Costa Rica to Bolivia. Records: A. Rojas 3213 (INB), G. Davidse 29390 (MO), F. Quesada 1424 (CR), M. Moraga 330 (CR).

Epiphytic herbs.Distribution in PILA:Elevation unknown. Endemic to Panama. Records: Maxon 5718 ( US).
This species has been documented from and adjacent to the buffer zone of th epark but is still considered endemic to PILA.
