Echinodorus gabrielii Rataj (1990: 14–15 as “ gabrieli ”)

Holotype: nonexistent, but indicated in the protologue (see Somogyi 2017).

Lectotype (designated here): photograph in Rataj (1990: 15, Fig. on the right). This photograph can also be seen in Rataj (1998: Fig. 111).

Epitype (designated here):— PR 745391/5663(!). This specimen was designated as the neotype by Somogyi (2017: 14).

The lectotype photograph is ambiguous and cannot be critically identified (the details necessary for correct identification are not visible) for purposes of the precise application of the name to a taxon, therefore an epitype is designated (Art. 9.9 of the Shenzhen Code).
