Note. – Sprengel’ s description and locality (Java, Indonesia) follow Blume’ s account (though Sprengel mistakenly also includes as a synonym Melia excelsa “DC. ” [Prodr. 1: 622. 1824, i.e., Jack in Malayan Misc. 1: 12. 1820; ≡ Azadirachta excelsa (Jack) M.Jacobs ], for which Candolle has a very different description and locality – Penang, Malaysia).
