Type locality indication: “Alpine form of stony slopes. Lake Kuli-Kalon, Kuli-Mogif, pass Mura, Dukdon, Yagnob near Khshartob 8500–10000’” [originally in Russian].

Lectotype (designated here):— TAJIKISTAN. [Sughd Prov., Seravschan range, near the lake Kulikalon ], KuliKalon. Alt. 9000 pd., [defl., fr.]. 12 June 1892. V. L. Komarov s.n. ( LE!) . Isolectotype B 10 0241620 ; other syntypes in LE !

Of the five syntypes that we examined, the most complete material from Kulikalon Lake, mounted on an unnumbered sheet with eight plants on the top right, is designated herein as the lectotype.
