Figures 27 View FIGURE 27 , 38 View FIGURE 38

Description. Female. Body length 3.2 mm, fore wing length 3.6 mm.

Head. Transverse in dorsal view, 2.1× as wide as long and slightly narrower than mesoscutum (35.8:37.5). Temple dull and coarsely punctate, very constricted. Face dull, shallowly closely punctate, less pubescent, inner margin of eyes parallel, rather transverse, nearly 0.7× as high as wide. Ocelli relatively large, distance between fore and a hind ocellus shorter than diameter of an ocellus, posterior imaginary tangent to fore ocellus slightly transecting hind two ocelli, POL:OD:OOL=5.0:2.5:5.0. Antenna as long as body, penultimate antennomere subcubic.

Mesosoma. Length:breadth:height=70.0:37.5:40.0. Disc of mesonotum relatively dull, finely punctuation, interspaces equal with diameter of punctures. Scutellar sulcus nearly straight, relatively narrow with carinae in between. Scutellum dull, sparsely shallowly punctuation. Propodeum dull, with punctures anterior-laterally, posteral-lateral field rugose, imaginary areola polished. Mesopleuron highly polished, its anterior half with shallow punctures of even size.

Legs. Spines on outer side of hind tibia dense. Inner spur of hind tibia half of hind basitarsus, outer spur slightly shorter. Basitarsus of hind leg distinctly shorter than tarsomeres 2–4 combined.

Wings. Pterostigma 2.7× as long as its widest part. Vein 1-R1 (metacarp) 1.1× longer than pterostigma, 4.7× as long as its distance from the apex of the marginal cell. Vein r arising from middle of pterostigma, vein r gradually and naturally arched with vein 2-SR. 1 st discal cell almost as wide as high. 1 st submarginal cell of hind wing 2× wider than high. Vein cu-a rather curved.

Metasoma. Shorter than thorax (70.0:58.5). T1 parallel-sided, 1.4× longer than wide posteriorly, concave at basal third, turned-over part uneven to strigose. T2 nearly straight apically, weakly strigose laterally, 3.6× wider than long in the middle. T3 1.6× as long as T2. Tergites after T2 smooth. Hypopygium not longer than apex of abdomen. Ovipositor sheath nearly as long as hind tibia, relatively thin.

Colour. Body mostly black, T3–T5 yellow or brown with white hind. Tegula yellow. Palpi and spurs pale yellow. Flagellum and ovipositor sheath evenly dark brown. Scape and pedicel yellowish brown. Labrum and mandible reddish yellow. Legs bright yellow, except coxae dark to black and apical third of hind tibia with tarsus slightly reddish brown. Wing membrane hyaline, vein 1-R1 and C+SC+R yellow, pterostigma brown, r, 2-SR, 2-M and other veins pale yellow, pterostigma with pale basal spot.

Variation. Punctures on mesosoma of some specimens shallower and T1 shiny with shallow punctures.

Host. Unknown.

Distribution. China (Fujian, Guangdong, Hunan, Ningxia, Sichuan, Zhejiang).

Etymology. The specific name “ sandwico ” derived from the English noun “sandwich”, referring to medial tergites vivid yellow but basal and apical tergites black, just like a sandwich.

Remarks. This species is similar to D. partergita Liu & Chen , sp. n., but differs from the latter by the following: T1 not widen apically; T1 and T2 only uneven to weakly rugose; and basitarsus of hind leg distinctly shorter than tarsomeres 2–4 combined.
