Holotype male [a single specimen in original description, assumed as holotype] in MNHN [original description refers to [probably] Grouvelle collection; Jeannel, 1936 refers to Pic collection; in poor condition, in Peck & Cook, 2016, 2017].

Type locality: Marcapata, [Cuzco Department [as “Province de Quichua” in Jeannel, 1936]], Peru.

Distribution: Bolivia: Cochabamba Department; Costa Rica: Alajuela, Cartago, and Puntarenas Provinces; Guatemala: Alta Verapaz Department; Honduras: Olancho Department; Mexico: Chiapas, Hidalgo, Oaxaca. Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, and Veracruz States; Nicaragua: Matagalpa Department; Peru: Cuzco Department.
