Holotype male in MZSP.
Type locality: San José de los Laureles, Tlayacapan, Morelos State, Mexico.
Distribution: Mexico: Hidalgo, Jalisco, México, Morelos, Oaxaca, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí, and Veracruz States.
Note: This species was erroneously referred to as “ Ptomophagus [sic] navarretei Gynaspini [sic], 1999” in Burgos-Solorio & Trejo-Loyo (2001: 91) and in Zaragoza-Caballero et al. (2019: 31), and we consider this “combination” as a nomen nudum (see Note 4 under Ptomaphagus ).
