Discraeus fuscipennis Kanmiya, 1971: 173 View in CoL . Type locality: Japan.
Description. Head brown ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 6–11 ), 0.8 times as long as high in profile; frons brown with distal portion yellow, 0.9 times as long as wide; gena yellow, broad, 0.7 times as wide as first flagellomere. Ocellar triangle smooth, shiny, distal 1/8 yellow, reaching anterior margin of frons, with pointed apex. Antenna yellow except for dorsal margin of first flagellomere brown; first flagellomere 0.9 times as long as wide; arista brown with short brown pubescence. Proboscis and palpus yellow. Scutum black, 1.1 times as long as wide. Thoracic pleuron shiny blackish brown except for propleuron largely yellow; ventral portion of katepimeron, dorsal and posterior margins of anepisternum narrowly yellow. Scutellum brown, 0.5 times as long as wide. Legs yellow except for fore and mid femora yellow to brownish yellow, hind femur brown with both ends yellow, middle 1/2 of hind tibia brown, all tarsomeres 3–5 brown. Wing tinged pale brown, 2.7 times as long as wide; veins brown. Relative lengths of 2nd: 3rd: 4th costal sections = 6: 1.6: 1. Halter pale yellow. Abdomen brown except for tergite 1 yellow. Male genitalia ( Figs. 32 View FIGURES 32–37 , 38 View FIGURES 38–43 ): Epandrium dark brown, with apical and subapical processes on ventral margin, apical process distinctly curved inward in dorsal view; surstylus as long as epandrium, nearly parallel-sided in profile, extended caudad, slightly broad, some thickened setae on inner side of lateral and distal portions. Postgonite round distally, bearing minute serrulations on apical margin.
Specimens examined. 6 ♂♂, CHINA, Beijing, Yanqing, Songshan Mountain , 2. VI. 2009, Qifei Liu Leg. ( CAU) (photo and abdomen dissected). All specimens were stored in 75% ethanol .
Distribution. China (Beijing); Japan.
Remarks. This species is distinguished from all the known species in its wing tinged with pale brown ( Kanmiya 1971).
