Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Oman ( Gusenleitner 2013; Monks et al. 2019 as Delta hottentottum elegans ), Saudi Arabia (de Saussure 1852 as Eumenes elegans ; Guichard 1986; Gadallah 2003; Gusenleitner 2013), United Arab Emirates ( Roche 1981 as D. h. elegans ; Guichard 1986; Gillett & Gillett 2005 as D. h. elegans ; Howarth & Gillett 2008 as D. hottentotum elegans ; Gusenleitner 2010), Yemen ( Giordani Soika 1952 as E. h. var. elegans ; Wahis 2000; Gusenleitner 2007, 2010, 2013; Dvořák & Carpenter 2010).
Extralimital distribution: Egypt, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Palestine.
