Current status. Junior objective synonym of Chalcoplacis Chevrolat, 1836 (see MONRÓS & BECHYNÉ 1956, SEENO & WILCOX 1982).
Comments. Cyphra Gistel, 1848 was proposed as an unnecessary new replacement name for Chalcoplacis Chevrolat, 1836 ( GISTEL 1848a).
